My name is Captain Blake Lane. I’ve been fishing the local waters of the Lower Keys since I was about 5 or 6 years old, mostly fishing offshore and on the reef. When I was 20, I decided to move here full time from South Carolina. Since then, I’ve started to shift my focus to the backcountry and flats fisheries and the beautiful area that they can be found in. I graduated from College of the Florida Keys with a degree in Marine Engineering, Management, and Seamanship. While there, I really got to learn a lot of the tenets of boat maintenance and seamanship, which has really helped me progress as a captain and a fisherman. I’ve also gotten plenty of help from the local captains here, and the community at large, which has really helped me. I’m really looking forward to meeting each and every one of you and hope to show you all of the awesome experiences that the Lower Keys have to offer.
